Refinis - building for manufacturing and industrial use

The Refinis plant is an A++ energy-efficient building in Vievis, Lithuania, for manufacturing and industrial purposes, and will use the most advanced technologies. The production process will use electricity to avoid the burning of fossil fuels and minimise greenhouse gas emissions. Inside the building, the corrosive environment and high temperatures from the technological processes are high, so the designers have chosen the highest quality products for the production area - Ruukki SP2E E-PIR and nSPB150WEE sandwich panels and Liberta Original 102 Grande dark grey steel cassettes for the representative facade finish.

In the modern catalyst recycling plant of Refinis, the metal alloy obtained in the furnace will be chemically treated using advanced molecular recognition technology to extract three precious metals. The architects have designed a representative-looking façade with a metallized facade, conceptually close to the precious metals. Ruukki Liberta Original 102 Grande, a dark grey steel cassette, was used for the finishing of the administrative block. The architectural concept was greatly influenced by the lighting, which gave the metallic facades a luminous, new and attractive look.

Ruukki supplied 3,600 sqm of SP2E E-PIR sandwich panels, 3,000 sqm of nSPB150WEE sandwich panels and 250 sqm of Liberta Original 102 Grande façade cladding panels for the facade.

For the building, we provided GreenCoat® color-coated steel - a sustainable steel of Nordic quality from SSAB.
