Padel Club Finland – paddle center in Finland

The Ruukki® Sound Environment Solution combines load-bearing sheets, sound-absorbing materials, and cladding products into a functional sound environment solution. We have monitored its functionality carefully in this pilot reference building.

In this paddle center, the free height of 11 meters, the ceiling plays a significant role when looking for a functional sound environment. Originally, the hall's reverberation time, i.e., how long the sound reverberates after it is produced, was estimated to be about 12 seconds without sound environment solutions. The goal was to get the reverberation time under 3 seconds, and this was calculated to be possible with the basic solution of the LBS T153 AcuB load-bearing acoustic profile in the ceiling. The reverberation was measured when the building envelope was ready.

The acoustics of the paddle center entrance, the final match court, and the café areas, were fine-tuned with Ruukki's acoustic wall cladding solutions on a total area of about 100 m2. Its impact was also measured. In important speech frequency ranges, we managed to get it to 2.5 seconds. The end result speaks for itself.

Sandwich panel SPA 150 E, in colors RR41 and RR23 were chose for wall elements for the padel hall. The hall's interior walls are partly clad with the striking Design Venice S10 profile, which is black (RR33) and has a perforation degree of 30%.
