Design Rome S34 profiles were used in facades and ceilings. Furthermore, perforated versions of the same Design Rome S34 profiles (4 mm, 30%) were used in the walls of the building’s canopies. A perforated profile doesn’t show through, but it lets the light through. It serves as excellent in ambulance arrival areas, for example.
The hospital’s implementation planning and construction started in 2016, and the hospital will be completed by the end of 2020.
Perforated Design Rome S34 and Design Venice S10 profiles (4 mm, 30%) were used indoors. These profiles are manufactured from anodised aluminium (0.7 mm). The profiles were installed in the vertical position to act as space dividers that let the light through. This offers privacy but still keeps the spaces open and airy.
The interior decoration was inspired by Central Finnish national parks. The goal was to bring the nature from the national parks close to the hospital’s customers and employees in the form of colours and shapes.
SPA 230E Life sandwich panels were used in the hospital’s air conditioning rooms.
