Airtightness is more than one building component

"Focusing to better airtightness leads to energy and CO2 saving. Airtightness of the entire building envelope has a crucial role in the energy efficiency of the building, and it can be verified by measuring the completed building with air blower test. Entire building airtightness is affected especially by the joints and seams between the wall parts with other envelope components. This is why also the quality of the installation work is crucial."

Your benefits
In a typical warehouse, or store building, you can save up to 30% of building energy consumption for heating or cooling with airtightness better than the reference level. The Ruukki® Airtight Package is also a particularly effective way to reduce building's carbon footprint, because investing in airtightness does not increase the carbon footprint of product manufacturing, unlike, for example, increasing the amount of insulation.
As a service to our customers, we offer energy calculation to optimize the thermal insulation and airtightness level of the entire envelope. An optimal solution is achieved in terms of energy or cost efficiency, or even carbon footprint. The solution is based on Ruukki Energy Panels, and includes comprehensive detail drawings and joint sealings to most typical wall structures. We also offer training to our certified installation partners, and an airtightness guarantee to customers proved by site testing. We guarantee usually at least the air tightness level q50 = 1.0 m3/ m2, h for the entire building.
