Tårnet Kulturarena office building in Norway

Renovation of Tårnet Kulturarena, a formed industrial tower of a cable factory, was completed in summer 2019. Today 11-floor building operates as a culture tower having various tenants from the field of culture. Ruukki delivered a Ruukki Forma® façade system including sandwich panels and the façade claddings in the walls.

“A Cor-Ten® façade is more in tune with the district’s industrial past and character than, for example, a multicolor or glass façade. The façade is perforated and pale LED lights are installed behind it. This makes the tower stand out in the landscape. The use of sandwich panels enabled walls to be built quickly and also improves a building’s energy efficiency,” says project leader Lars-Petter Pettersen at real estate investment company Oxer Eiendom.
