Telia offers server room and infrastructure services to Finnish and international firms at Helsinki Data Center. Opened in June 2018, the largely subterranean center has a surface area of twice the size of the Finnish Parliament building.
Ruukki supplied the Ruukki Life energy panels used in the walls of the building to make the building energy efficient. The façades of the Data Center were clad in Ruukki’s Design Rome S34 profiles, of which as many as a third are perforated. Ruukki’s total delivery included involvement in the design at an early stage, which allowed collaboration to find the best possible end-solution for the customer.
Telia Helsinki Data Center is committed to energy efficiency, environmental values and data security. The Center has already achieved ISO 22301 BCM certification, the second company in Finland to be awarded such certification, and will also soon be awarded LEED certification.
