Obelisk winery

Wine - the drink of gods, deserves a space that would properly represent this noble drink. The building of the Obelisk winery is a great example of this. It is inspired by the appearance of the ancient church, but at the same time respects the surroundings and the landscape historically shaped by the Liechtenstein family.

The building of winery reflects contemporary architecture, although the idea of the design dates back to antique times. The building has a simple cubic shape with a roof supported by concrete columns. The building's façade made out of Cor-Ten® steel is in contrast to concrete. Nevertheless, it fits beautifully into the surroundings and stands out among the vines in neighborhood. "The chosen steel façade fits into the whole concept and perfectly complements and makes the whole special. This was the first and most excellent collaboration with Ruukki. We are very satisfied with the result,” praises the appearance of the winery, the director, František Fabičovic.
