Ruukki delivered custom-made Design profiles in brown-bronze metallic color Tyger Drylac 68/60605 with powder painting for the NORDCITY Obchodná building. The profiles are easy to install and create a regular structured surface on the facade.

The central feature of the facade is its metallic shine. The choice of the metallic surface of the facade was motivated by its ability to react to sunlight, which gives the building a dynamic character that changes during the day and depending on the weather. Vertical ribs on the facade enhance this dynamic depending on the current position of the sun, casting dramatic shadows on the facade as it rises and sets.

The project director, in turn, appreciates the possibility of consulting on the selection of materials, as well as the delivery of samples and the expertise of Ruukki representatives. He adds that their ability to provide complex solutions in the field of facade materials gave the investor confidence that they would meet his demanding requirements and thus contribute to the successful completion of an exceptional project.

The NORDCITY Obchodná building, the most modern administrative building in Slovakia, is distinguished from dozens of similar ones by its approach to sustainability. The goal is to obtain LEED and WELL Platinum certificates, which reflects the developer's commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. Investing in high-quality materials is not only about aesthetics, but also about functionality and environmental friendliness. The selection of materials that ensure long-term service life and minimum maintenance requirements are therefore no less important.

Developer Reinoo is planning other projects in the location. The ecological building Obchodná 2 will be a new addition to the NORDCITY zone in Žilina in the near future.
