Energy panel system pays for itself in a few years

  • The walls of the logistics centre were built using Ruukki’s energy panel system, which can reduce the annual energy bill by €25,000 - €40,000.
  • The building’s air tightness rate (n50) was 0.15 1/h (q50 = 0,7 m3/h, m2), which is considerably better than the 0.9 rate guaranteed.
  • The logistics centre is 548 metres long, 122 metres wide and about as high as a 3-storey building.

"Energy saving was the main motive for choosing energy panels . In a building this size, any shift towards energy efficiency generates significant savings,” explains Ville Jokela, Development Director at Itella Real Estate Oy.
