Housing complex in the historical quarter of Kaunas, Lithuania

In a historic part of Kaunas, an elegant complex of houses has been built just 5 minutes from the city centre. The authentic architectural details of the Kaunas fortress, typical of Tsarist construction, have been preserved - red brickwork, unique arches and high ceilings - and are perfectly combined with the innovation of modern construction – wall cladding, for which Ruukki has supplied Cor-Ten® steel. Cor-Ten® steel has also been used for two new residential buildings in the complex.
