Ruukki Professional Day 2025 – Sustainable growth, together

Nearly 120 construction and steel building product professionals gathered for Ruukki's Professional Day on Friday, March 21, in Tampere. The theme this year was "Sustainable growth, together" and the aim of the day was to raise ideas about partnership and sustainable growth.

The morning program focused on the challenging market situation and carbon-neutral construction. In his speech, CEO Sami Eronen went through Ruukki's sustainability work and common ways to reduce construction-related emissions. Ruukki® LowCarbon products are a good example of life-cycle-wise solutions that can reduce building's carbon footprint.

Construction trends were analyzed by Markku Riihimäki from Forecon Oy, and Jukka Ala-Mutka gave a glimpse into the future by talking about artificial intelligence and its utilization in construction.

Themed program in the afternoon

In the afternoon, the Professional Day's program was divided into three parallel themes, from which guests had the opportunity to choose presentations to follow according to their own interests.

VISIO SPACE provided inspiration for future building. Speeches in this space focused particularly on sustainability, and new products and coatings.

RAKENTAMO SPACE focused on innovative solutions and practical implementation. The new Ruukki Original guarantee was launched to customers, and the benefits and development of the Ruukki partnership were on the table.

TERÄSMESTA SPACE  showcased Ruukki's expertise and the possibilities of steel. Presentations covered, among other things, changes in the steel coatings and Ruukki's facade products.

The matter-of-fact and very interesting day ended with a captivating speech about cooperation by Mato Valtonen. In the evening, guests gathered in the heart of the old train sheds of Paja Congress to enjoy dinner and humor by stand-up comedian Sami Hedberg.

Growth with new service concepts

The expert speeches at the Professional Day emphasized sustainable, low-carbon product solutions, as well as different service solutions that facilitate the customer's business.

Ruukki is a responsible partner whose operations are based on continuous development. “We offer our customers sustainable wall and roof structures made of steel. Our product development is guided by our commitment to the environment,” says Jani Backlund, Business Director, Building Envelopes, Finland.

“We are also constantly developing our service range. The new Ruukki® Original guarantee, which will be launched for consumers this spring, is an excellent example of a service concept that brings new business opportunities to the customer,” reflects Jorma Korhonen, Business Director, Roofing, Finland. “It gives Ruukki partners an effective tool for increasing their sales.”

This is a good foundation on which to build growth together.
