Ruukki Construction has signed an agreement to acquire a majority holding (90%) in Swedish sheet metal solution provider Dala-Profil AB. Dala-Profil’s sales in 2020 amounted to around SEK 191 million (approximately EUR 19 million) and the company had a slightly higher operating margin than Ruukki Construction. The transaction supports Ruukki’s strategy for the roofing business and complements our offering in the Nordic home market. The transaction is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2022.

Dala-Profil AB was founded in 1980 by its long-term major owner Rolf Sandström. In recent years, Ulla Spånberg, Rolf’s daughter, has run the company as owner in cooperation with the current CEO and minority shareholder Carl Sahlin. Based in Borlänge, central Sweden, the company and its 35 employees provide sheet metal solutions for roofing and façades. Following the transaction, Carl Sahlin will retain a minority stake and will continue to be employed by the company as its CEO. Dala-Profil will continue as an independent company with its own brand as part of Ruukki Construction.
