Metec production building in Estonia
A new factory of the metal industry company Metec, with surrounding roads, car parks and landscaping, has been built on the outskirts of Tartu in the Tõrvandi Industrial Park. The nearly 7,000 m2 building houses production and warehouse space, with a two-storey section for utilities and technical facilities.

The building's unique look is given by Ruukki's CNC perforated Cor-Ten® facade, which are designed to provide shade from the blinding sun. A total of 570 m2 of Cor-Ten® facade were supplied, together with Cor-Ten® gutters and fasteners.
Metec manufactures micrometre-precise moving parts used in cars, trucks and trains, as well as in the medical sector. In the new plant, Metec will focus on the manufacture of larger products.
