Heat and Power Plant, Gdańsk, Poland

Port Czystej Energii (The Clean Energy Port) is a thermal municipal waste treatment facility located in Gdańsk, Poland. For the construction of this project, Ruukki sandwich panels with a mineral wool core were used. The total envelope area amounted to approximately 14,000 m². The panels supplied by Ruukki feature coatings with enhanced corrosion resistance. Additionally, the Ruukki Expression system was used to create the graphic design. Port Czystej Energii is a modern, environmentally friendly combined heat and power plant. Its primary function is to process non-recyclable waste, which, through cogeneration, is converted into district heating and electricity. At the same time, thermal waste treatment helps reduce landfill usage.
