The Lempäälä Housing Fair presents a diverse selection of welcoming homes designed and built with climate-conscious solutions in mind. The compact fair area, developed according to sustainable planning principles, features more than 30 different houses, ten of which are equipped with Ruukki steel roofing.
The Housing Fair got off to a lively start in early July in Lempäälä, Finland. The main theme of the 2026 event is climate wisdom – the ability to understand the environmental impact of different choices and make more sustainable decisions. In Lempäälä, home builders were encouraged to make climate-conscious choices through discounts on plot prices. As a result, the exhibition homes showcase a wide range of modern, sustainable housing solutions.
The ongoing economic slowdown is still reflected in this year’s Housing Fair. Instead of eye-catching luxury, the homes emphasize cost-efficiency, practicality and everyday functionality. The homes are modest in scale, and the solutions on display are realistic and attainable for typical homebuilders.
Most of the exhibition homes are timber-framed or log homes, and steel is the most common roofing material. Ruukki steel roofing has been installed on ten exhibition homes, and several of them also feature Ruukki roof safety products and rainwater systems.

The Saikka Housing Fair area is located near Ideapark in Lempäälä. The Housing Fair is open until 9 August.
