On May 15, the Ruukki Ukraine team participated in the forum “Modern Finnish Technologies, Equipment, and Expertise for the Reconstruction of Ukraine”, organized by the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine with support from the Embassy of Finland.
The event brought together Finnish companies, government representatives, and the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) to address the key challenges of Ukraine’s reconstruction. Discussions focused on identifying shared solutions and applying the best available technologies and construction practices. Special attention was given to practical approaches for renovating critical infrastructure, housing, and public buildings.
Yuriy Obukh, Business Director of Ruukki Ukraine, delivered a presentation titled
"Reliable Steel Solutions for the Reconstruction of Ukraine", which explored the following key themes:
- The role of Ruukki’s steel-based products in modern construction
- Ruukki® LowCarbon and Fossil-Free Steel solutions
- Participation in the national eRestoration program
- SSAB and Ruukki’s donation initiative
- The importance of declaring product performance indicators in compliance with national and EU regulations
