Ruukki Construction appoints John Andersson Director of Marketing and Communications

Ruukki Construction, part of SSAB and a leading supplier of sustainable steel-based building products, has appointed John Andersson as Director of Marketing and Communications, effective May 27, 2025. He will be based in Stockholm, Sweden, and report to Sami Eronen, CEO, Ruukki Construction.

John brings over 20 years of international experience in both B2C and B2B marketing, with a strong background in brand development, strategic communications, and customer-driven growth. Most recently, he served as Global Vice President of Brand, Marketing and Communications at Yokohama Rubber Company’s Specialty Tires OHT division. Earlier in his career, he held senior marketing roles at Electrolux, LEGO, and Coca-Cola.

In his new role, John will lead Ruukki’s strategic marketing and communications. The appointment supports Ruukki’s ambition to strengthen its brand visibility and voice across Nordics, Central Eastern Europe and the Baltic countries, and to accelerate growth by driving stronger brand engagement in its home markets.
