Sahlgrenska University Hospital

Steel frame structures

The new support building of Sahlgrenska University Hospital measures 8,800 m² in gross area and serves to solve daily problems related to support functions and traffic. The building currently houses departments for incoming goods, waste management, postal services and printing services.

The nature reserve next to the building, general features of ribbon development and the potential to receive incoming long transport vehicles constituted central points of consideration during the construction process.

Red brick walls, black and grey tiles and larch tree, as well as a complementary sedum roof appearance now characterise the building.
