Ruukki Expression® - taped pictures for walls

Ruukki Expression® is a complete facade system based on pictures and patterns taped on the outer skin of the
Ruukki® Energy Panel System. Tapes can be through-colored for various patterns and logos, or they can be printed using practically any picture. This creates an unlimited range of design options – limited only by your imagination! Just send us your proposal in the form of a photo or drawing, and we will come back with our proposal.

Ruukki Expression® tapes are of very high quality, with excellent UV resistance. The taping work is done in our factory in dry conditions, to ensure high accuracy and excellent bonding. Panels are packed and delivered in the correct installation sequence with clear panel layout drawings.

High air-tightness of the base structure, the Ruukki® Energy Panel System, generates up to 20% savings in a building’s energy costs and improves its energy class.

The Ruukki Expression® system includes everything from design to complete delivery.

Ace Energy, Halifax

The UK’s largest undercover coal yard and cash and carry has been constructed by SCM Construction using Ruukki Composite Panels on the roof and walls. Situated near the Pennines in Halifax, West Yorkshire is a new and exciting energy distribution centre serving domestic and industrial customers with solid fuel, bottled gas and air products, and compressed gasses seven days a week.

Future Proof Building with Backing from the Bank
Ace Energy has been trading on the existing site for almost 20 years, and therefore decided to make the improvements to both future-proof the building and to offer a new way to store and distribute its fuel products. The owner wanted to create a legacy for his years in business that he could always be proud of and requested that the contractor, SCM, approached the project in kind.

First Class Composite Panels
Two large warehouse facilities have been constructed, giving extra capacity to store a total of 8500 tonnes of solid fuel on pallets and 1500 tonnes of loose coal in the undercover coal yard. Ruukki SP2D wall panels and SP2C roof panels were chosen by SCM because of their high quality and attractive appearance; they are also very easy for the contractor to work with on site.

Bespoke Solution
SCM, who have over 20 years’ experience in the industry, were recommended to the client. They designed the colour scheme and aesthetics that were bespoke for the client in order to achieve the exact look he was trying to attain. This project is the fourth, and largest, SCM have constructed using Ruukki composite panels, and more of similar developments are already in the pipeline.

Complete Energy Efficiency
Not only is this building aesthetically pleasing, it is also energy efficient in itself and the benefits can also be passed on to the consumers. Due to the thermally efficient and air tight construction, customers can save up to 15% moisture content on solid fuel products and therefore receive an extra volume of fuel on each purchase.

The development does not stop here, as plans are in place to install power points to recharge electric vehicles and install 200 kilowatts of solar panels on the industrial unit roof. The warehouse will be heated with biomass renewables, and rain water is being harvested for reuse on site.
