The building’s facade was made of Cor-Ten steel that covered a reinforced concrete structure. Ruukki delivered more than 30 tonnes of Cor-Ten A flat sheets, which were used for made-to-order facade panels.

New premises of Innovation and Advanced Technology Centre were built in 2014 within the main campus of Lublin University of Technology. 
In this modern, 5-story building with a simple form there are over 30 specialist laboratories, numerous teaching and research facilities as well as administration offices.
The building’s facade was made of Cor-Ten steel that covered a reinforced concrete structure. Ruukki delivered more than 30 tonnes of Cor-Ten A flat sheets, which were used for made-to-order facade panels. Rusty steel cladding panels perfectly match large glass windows. 
Cor-Ten A is a cold-rolled steel that „protects itself”. As a result of alloying elements, a dense protective patina layer composed of corrosion products is formed on the steel surface under the influence of weather conditions. Thanks to the patina, unprotected Cor-Ten A steel can be used in outdoor applications regularly exposed to changes in weather.
