Located in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Thorsgården was completed in 1942 and served as an industrial building until 1970. It was then converted into an office building and remains one until the present day. The building has five floors and a floor area of around 3,500 square metres. Refurbishment of the exterior walls and recladding of the building was completed on 1 April 2019. The building is currently home to a gym, physiotherapy services and a design entrepreneur.

Ruukki supplied the Liberta Cor-Ten rainscreen panels for the façade, the frame on which to fasten the panels and, as a design service, prepared a façade diagram showing how the frame and panels are fastened.

“The Cor-Ten façade blends in superbly with the other buildings in the area. Cor-Ten patinates beautifully and blends in well with the red brick cladding in the area,” architect says Morten Bang who was responsible for architectural design.
