Building Y, located next to Seinäjoki Central Hospital in the city of Seinäjoki, constitutes the most noteworthy construction project in the hospital area for several decades. The building will be erected between 2009 and 2012.

Building Y will house premises for the Southern Ostrobothnia Hospital Disctrict, Seinäjoki Health Center, and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

Ruukki supplied the project with approximately 4.5 miles (7 km) worth of WQ beams (1,042 parts).

"The controlled pre-cambers of the WQ beams allowed for smaller surface structure thicknesses. Therefore, sound insulation capabilities were ensured by applying pressure die casting to fill the beam cavities up with concrete. In addition, supplementary structures could be fixed onto the fire-safe structure in a rational and cost-effective way”. -Jukka Hakola, Project Manager for the developing company
